HOW WE PICK THE 100
The Signal 100 is not a popularity contest. We do not count followers. We do not track streaming numbers or box office returns. We look at influence. Real influence. The kind that moves the field, changes what people think is possible, and shows up in the work of everyone around them.
The list is compiled annually by The Signal editorial team, with input from a rotating group of industry insiders, scouts, and cultural observers across music, film, fashion, tech, visual art, sports, media, and business. The only question we ask: who is doing the most important work in culture right now?
